Welcoming Spirit Blog Hop #10: Through Sun and Rain

Welcome to Blog Hop #10!

Our home inspection went fairly well. There are always little things that come up, a lock that needs to be placed on the air conditioner, sliding doors that aren't working just right. And, sadly, the roof appears to need some work, probably before next winter when we hit our rainy season here in Northern California. Lucky for us, that means about 4 or 5 months before we need to get the work done. But since it's a short sale, the costs will sit with us.

For us this week, it's important to keep our eyes on the big picture. We may need to pay some up front costs for the house, but in the end we will have a home that is ours. In a way, I feel we're living in the midst of the quote I've chosen for the week:
"A rose must remain with the sun and the rain or it's lovely promise won't come true."

It's time to link up and get hopping! Please share a post about your experiences below. If you'd like to support the hop and grab the code for your blog, that would make me smile, too :)

There's lots of little details that come with being a homeowner. It will become second nature after awhile and you wont even think about it much anymore. How exciting that this is all coming together. Be sure to post pictures when you get all settled.

Thanks Angie! I will post pictures, for sure. Actually, the rose in the photo above is from the yard :) and I can't wait to have fresh flowers in the house all the time.

Congratulation. Owning a home can be a joy. Renters may be told to move because the owner wants to sell the house. Enjoy your new home and I thank the Lord for YOU.
